Douja Ben Mahmoud Gharbi

Douja Ben Mahmoud Gharbi, with more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, has a long professional career as an entrepreneur and manager. Serial entrepreneur, she has created and managed several companies in various sectors: industry, services, and commerce. She has also been an expert in entrepreneurship, counsellor, and mentor for more than 15 years, trained and certified by UNIDO and ITPO Bahrain. In her capacity of private sector specialist, Douja works with several international organizations such as UNIDO, the EU, or GIZ, etc. In this context she develops and facilitates the dialogue between the private and the public sector for policy making, entrepreneurship development, access to finance and market developments for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. In 2019, she founded and is the CEO of the accelerator REDSTART Tunisia; this accelerator is the first Tunisian company which joined in 2021 the community Business Call to Actions -BCtA of the United Nations.
Passionate and committed to women economic development and entrepreneurship, Douja founded and is chairing several associations, such as DAMYA-Tunisian Women Business Angels Network, the CEDE Association -Centre d’Entrepreneuriat et de Développement Endogène. She is also vice president of the international association FPAM- Finance Participative in Africa and the Mediterranean. Finally, Douja is a founding member of CONECT- Confédération des Entreprises Citoyennes de Tunisie- and was in charge of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), entrepreneurship and employment development projects for more than 7 years.
